My mother was a patient of Camellia Hospice. She passed away in January, 2014 on your services. I am writing for two reasons.
The first is to thank you for the excellent service you provided her and her family during this process. The Chaplin was very supportive and the nurses went above and beyond my expectations. The night before Mom passed I requested a nurse to sit with her. One arrived quickly and in a very professional manner sat with Mom and gave us comfort doing so. She passed the following morning and the nurse was very respectful of her and honored Mom in a way I will never be able to express. She bathed and dressed Mom at my request. I watched her as she performed this difficult request. She wasn't aware I was watching but she was so gentle and respectful of my precious Mom. She asked me to tell her what I thought and if there waws anything else I wanted her to do for Mom. My only request was for her to put lotion on her face. There is a lifetime story about this, she told me I always had to put lotion on my face to keep me looking young. She applied the lotion to Mom's face with her gentle hands and a pleasant smile on her face as I stood by her side. I will always remember those last few hours as a pleasant memory thanks to her services.
